The Restore for Life Education Platform – Education Meets Ecosystem Stewardship

  • by

The Restore for Life Education Platform (https://edu4life-wetlands.vercel.app/) is an interactive digital learning environment developed within the Restore4Life Horizon Europe project. It aims to make wetland ecosystems and their ecological value accessible, engaging, and relevant for a wide range of learners.

An interactive learning environment

The platform acts as a central entry point for educational content on wetlands, combining scientific knowledge with well-structured educational tools. It is designed for use in schools, workshops, and informal science education settings.

Through a clear visual structure, users can explore key topics such as wetland functions, ecosystem services, restoration, and climate relevance.

Educational resources and tools

The platform provides open and interactive learning materials, including:

  • educational modules based on the 5E learning model,
  • worksheets and tasks for guided or self-directed learning,
  • hands-on activities such as mapping and exploring wetlands,
  • links to complementary tools and resources from the Restore4Life project.

These materials encourage active learning and help connect ecological theory with real-world examples.

Purpose and project background

As part of the Restore4Life project, the Education Platform supports wetland restoration by raising awareness, building understanding, and encouraging engagement with ecosystem protection and sustainability.
